Panther Choir Newsletter 10/27/17

We have had another busy but very productive week in the Panther Choirs. Monday some our 9-10th grade singers competed in the Region 31 Honor Choir Auditions, Tuesday we took 40 students to the Dallas Opera's Production of La Traviata and Friday we enjoyed collaborating with our friends at Grapevine HS for our annual tailgate and singing of the National Anthem before the crosstown game. Thank you to the many parents who continue to volunteer at all of these events and make them possible for our students.

Pre-Area Candidates - Please check Mr. Rinn's appointment calendar and signup for a private lesson once per week for the next 3-weeks. If you are in the Vocal Ensemble Class try to sign-up for a time in class when available.

During our annual Bella Notte Dinner and at our Winter Concert we feature student soloist performing Winter / Holiday themed music. Auditions for solos will be held on Tuesday, November 29 after-school in the Main Choir Room. An accompanist will be provided for the audition as needed.

General Guidelines

Solos on the Bella Notte Dinner should use an accompaniment track. These will need to be downloaded audio files, not web links (youtube) to a track. You should audition with this track.

Any solo that is featured on the Winter Concert will need to use live piano accompaniment. You should provide sheet music to your solo at the audition and sing with the live accompanist should you wish to be considered for the Winter Concert. If you also wish to be considered for the Bella Notte dinner you should locate an accompaniment track that you can use.

Please sign-up for an audition time HERE and indicate what song you will audition on. Please reference this list as you make your song selections as we will not feature the same song more than once. A list of music already being performed on the concert will be available soon and should also be avoided.

Music may be in any style / genre for this performance.
