Panther Choir Newsletter 1/7/19

Happy New Year! I hope that you have all had a chance to relax and refresh over the Winter Break. As we look forward to the spring semester we are excited about all of the experiences in store for the students of the Panther Choirs. Performances for audiences around the state, visits from two University Choirs on campus (Westminster Choir College and Stephen F. Austin State University), and three European concerts in the church's of Mozart and Haydn, are just some of the highlights on our spring calendar. Just before the break, the Panther Choir was awarded a grant from the GCISD Education Foundation to help support our spring concert which will include a performance of Randall Thompson's Frostiana with Chamber Orchestra. This incredible work using the poetry of Robert Frost is a staple of American choral literature and we appreciate the financial support of the Education Foundation in this endeavor. Please look below for information concerning the upcoming semester. We look forward to seeing you all tomorrow.

We will be collecting these through the holiday season, and will take an opportunity to share these with the Street Choir once we return from the Winter holiday. If you have any items that you would like to donate, please send these with your students the first few days back in our Spring semester!
