Eligibility determines whether or not students can participate in after school activities such as All-State and Region auditions. The upcoming deadline is next Friday, September, 29 at 4:00p.m. This is the only grading period of the year in which a progress report can cause a student to lose eligibility. Please be aware of this ESPECIALLY if you/your child is participating in All-State / 9-10 Region auditions.
Earlier this week an email went out from the choir department notifying parents and students of any grades that were currently in danger of failing. There was some confusion about this as some parents thought the email was referring a grade in choir. This email was in effort to help communicate any problems that we see coming in all classes for our students. We are happy to partner with our families in efforts to support our students academically and will always send out these reminders in an effort to stay ahead of eligibility issues. If at anytime we can be of assistance please do not hesitate to let us know.
You may access the official district eligibility calendar HERE

To any former HMS students that purchased a HMS Tux, they have asked for donations. If you are willing, please donate to the HMS choir. You can drop it off in the CHHS choir office.
To all the Panther Choir students auditioning this weekend for the Texas All State Choir:
You are prepared for this day! You have what it takes to intentionally release the sounds of unified beauty and strength! Reject the voice of defeat. Receive your true identity: Wholly Loved, Treasured Child. And from that place of rest, sing from your very soul. You are loved more than you know. HAVE FUN!
We are so proud of you,
