Panther Choir Newsletter 2/23/18

We are excited to announce six recipients of scholarships for attendance at summer All-State Camps. These $100 awards are designed to assist our students in starting their journey to be an all-state singer. The Panther Choir has a rich tradition of students placing into the all-state choir and we look forward to the following students being some of our future All-State Singers!

Austin Farris

Ashley Jefferies

Nate Nguyen

Emma Richard

Jake Watson

Ayden Yates

Please watch for an email from the booster club regarding the claiming of your scholarship. You can request reimbursement for a camp registration fee or a direct check to the camp from the booster club.

Students, please consider volunteering to help us host Middle School UIL Contest on March 5th and 6th. There are plenty of spots still available to sign up. Please note that Monday is a B day and Tuesday is an A day. It is most helpful when you sign up for consecutive classes in a row but please be careful not to miss classes that are difficult to make up.

Did you miss ordering a recording of the TMEA Concert or an All-State Concert? You may make orders directly from the recording company HERE. If you ordered through us you received our group discount rate and should pay us directly (we have already paid for the order).

Our Pre-SWACDA Concert is Monday, March 5 at First United Methodist Church in downtown Fort Worth. This is a beautiful space to hear the choir in if you've not yet been able to hear their convention performance. Students will travel to Fort Worth immediately following school. We will be ordering Which Which Dinner Boxes to eat during the bus ride.

We are thrilled to be able to invest in future generations of Panther Choir through hosting the Middle School UIL competition for our region here at CHHS! Doing so with excellence requires FLEXIBLE Panther Choir parent volunteers throughout the two-day process, with an emphasis on FLEXIBLE! We are specifically asking for NON-CHORALE parents to volunteer in the 3-6pm time slot on Monday March 5th, as Chorale will be performing in Ft. Worth that evening and we want Chorale parents to be able to see their kiddos. LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED for parent volunteers who STAY ALL DAY. Thank you for investing your time and encouraging smiles in these talented middle-schoolers, with a heart to fill in any gaps as needed!.
