While there is a stream of constant information coming from different places, we want to continue sharing all the needed information and upcoming expectations in one place to hopefully be a help to you all. If there are any questions, please reach out so we can help clear up any misunderstanding or miscommunication. We miss each of you and it becomes harder each day to not be in the classroom learning and sharing music together. While no online experience or assignment will ever fully take the place of those things, we are thankful to have an opportunity to create performances and experiences for each of you, and we hope you enjoy them as we do! - Virtual Performance and Awards Ceremony -

Tuesday, May 25 | 6 - 7 pm

While we cannot perform together as we would like to, we are planning to hold our final concert and awards ceremony on May 25th to honor our students and specifically our seniors. We will showcase a few projects we have been working on during this time of distancing as well as solos and award announcements! Please join us this evening!

- Uniform Return -

Thank you to those of you who were able to make time to return your uniforms this year. We understand that not every individual was able to bring their uniform to us this past Tuesday, and we apologize for the inconvenience of only being able for a single day. This was the time allotted to us by CHHS in an effort to best meet the needs of each department. We will communicate individually with those still needing to turn in uniforms as we are able to find out the appropriate measures moving forwards. Thank you for helping us meet this need safely and efficiently during this time.

- Office Hours -

Monday - Friday | 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

As a part of the new online platform, we will be holding daily online office hours to answer questions, clarify any possible new content/materials, and provide encouragement and support as you need. Mr. Rinn and Mr. Gilliland will be online together during this time each day using Webex*. The link below will take you directly to the online meeting where Mr. Rinn and Gilliland will grant you access to join. If you are not granted access immediately, it may be because we are working with another student. You may also email to ensure current availability or ask questions. We will use the final 30 minutes of this time each day for an open "virtual lunchtime" with any and all students who want to join in. If you have a question outside of these office hours, please feel free to email and one of the directors will respond as we are able.

Final Recording Project

For the remainder of the year, we will not be assigning any further work to students. Please understand that your current standing in our class was reflected in your most recent progress report, but it is not too late to positively change your grade for our final nine weeks. We encourage you to look back on assignments that may not have been completed and get these into us before next Friday! Let's end the year on a positive note. Please reach out if you need any help or have any questions.

- New York Update -

As noted in our previous communication, USIT is offering a 75% refund of New York Trip for those who have requested it and a transfer of 100% of funds for a potential 2021 CHHS Choir Trip to New York. We have forwarded all requests to USIT who will begin to process the refunds this week and create and transfer travelers to the new 2021 trip.
