Panther Choir Newsletter 5/14

As we reach the end of the year, we are so in awe of our singers and the perseverance they have displayed this year. Thank you all for your continued flexibility this year. We are excited for our upcoming events including our Skate Town Social, the spring concert and our choir banquet. There is a lot of information about our concert and the All-State process below. Make sure to read through the sections and do not hesitate us with any questions you may have.

- Skate Town -

We will be having an end-of-year social at Skate Town here in Grapevine on Monday, May 17th from 6-8pm. It will be free of charge (thanks Boosters!) and we will have open mic karaoke. Please RSVP HERE if you are planning on coming. Come throw on some skates and listen to karaoke.

- All-State Information -

Click HERE to learn about the All-State process and what camps are available this summer and also how to apply for scholarships.

- Family Head of Household Applications -

We started to implement families into our choir program this past year and even though Covid took a toll on that this year, we are looking forward to implementing this same concept this upcoming year. If you are interested in being a family leader please fill out the application HERE. This is not an officer position and you do not have to be an officer to apply or to be chosen and any student in any grade level may apply. Our '21-'22 officers will choose our family leaders by the end of this school year, so you will know if you have been selected. We would love to have lots of people apply and be a leader.

-Spring Concert -

We have made the decision to move our concert start time to 8pm instead of 7pm in order to give seniors that want to participate in the Senior Parade an opportunity to do so. Please note that the concert will be filled with great music, but also a lot of senior recognition. We would love for our alumni to attend as well as all of our choir families. Please RSVP HERE for your seats. *We have limited room due to Covid protocols, so please be sure to reserve your seats ASAP*

We will also have a full rehearsal that day (May 20th) from 4-5pm in the auditorium. It is imperative that your singer is there as it will be the only chance to rehearse all together.

- Choir Banquet -

Please check our RSVP List HERE. If you are not on this list and plan on attending, please send an email to the directors.

Banquet will be much more casual than in years past. We will be hosting a Hawaiian Luau this year at Rockledge Park. The event will begin at 5:30 pm and go until 8:30 pm on Friday, May 21st.

- Jazz Auditions -

If you or someone you may know are still interested in auditioning for jazz choir next year, please send an email to the directors as auditions have now closed. However, we have pushed the deadline out to Wednesday of next week. We will be posting jazz audition results next Friday, May 21st at 4pm.

- Choir Leadership Team (CLT) -

We want to thank everyone who took the time to interview and go through that process. We have selected our CLT for next year and have posted that on the old choir room door as well as below. If you have expressed interest in being a Family Head of Household, those positions will be announced on May 25th at 4pm. Again, we want to thank you all for showing an interest in leadership and for putting yourself out there.
