Panther Choir 2020 Summer Updates
We hope that each of you have enjoyed the summer break and that you are looking forward to the new year ahead with the Panther Choirs. As you know, our plan for school (and therefore choir) has been constantly changing and there are still many unknowns ahead; however, I want to assure you of a few things and give you the information that we have. First, choir will continue. We will continue to build the family, community and excellence that you have come to expect from the Panther Choir Program. This will look different and we will have challenges, but we are confident we can deliver a high quality experience to our students. Please read the information below regarding pickup of our CHHS Choir Online Learning Packs as we are putting together materials to help each student excel whether learning with us on campus or at home. We will release more information next week regarding our plans for the Fall Semester as we work to provide exceptional experiences for our students.
- CHHS Choir Online Learning Pack Pick up -
In order for our students to be successful online or at school, we have created Online Learning Packs for each student with materials inside to aid with this. We will have two options for pick up days: Friday, August 14th from 8:00am-10:00am or Saturday, August 15th from 10:00am-11:00am. The pick up location will be the back of the school (map and directions pictured in link below) during those times on those given days. We ask that you please wear your mask for pick up and that you practice social distancing as well. If those dates will not work for you and your family please email Mr. Standish (email@example.com).
- Class Schedules -
We are not 100% sure at this moment what the class schedule is for the upcoming fall semester; however, once we have an idea of how exactly everything will be structured at CHHS we will relay that information to you all.
- Our 2020-2021 Choir Officers -
Our officers have already been hard at work this summer and have a lot of exciting things in the works for all of our choir members. Take some time to see who they are if you don't already know them. Know, too, that they will serve you all well as your leaders and they are here to help you with anything you may need!
In order of slides:

- Fall Parent Meeting -
Parents (new and returning), we will be holding our fall meeting on Thursday, August 20th from 6:00pm-7:30pm via WebEx (we will record it for any parents that are unable to attend). We will go over the fall with you all and what that will look like for our choir students as well as answer any questions that you may have. The link for the meeting is below.
Mr. Rinn and Mr. Standish are looking forward to virtually meeting you all soon!
- Voice Lessons -
Voice lessons will still be happening! If you are interested in taking lessons please fill out the Google Form below! This is a great way to receive one-on-one vocal training from an amazing voice teacher and grow as a singer and as a musician. We are planning on doing them remotely, but of course, once we receive more information from our voice teachers we will get that information to you all.
- All-State Process -
The TMEA All-State process is still happening this year as well even amid all the craziness! The process will be much different than years before in that auditions will be happening virtually and there will be no sight reading either. This may help those of us who have wanted to audition in the past, but have been nervous of the in-person auditions or the sight reading portion. All-State is an amazing learning opportunity and a chance to grow both musically and mentally. Mr. Rinn and Mr. Standish are planning on having sectionals and rehearsals for anyone who may be interested once we figure out how we are able to accomplish those things. If you are interested in auditioning and would like to get an All-State music packet from us included in your Online Learning Pack please fill out the Google Form below. We ask that you seriously consider whether or not you are willing to put in the time to learn the music and audition. It can seem daunting, but the pay off is unbelievable.
- Calendar for 2020-2021 -
We are still making a few updates to the calendar and will have this finalized shortly, however, major events are in place. Please reference the information below to help your planning.
