Panther Choir Newsletter 10/8

October is an exciting month for the CHHS choir program! In just over a week we will present our Fall Concert on October 18th. This will be an exciting opportunity to hear every CHHS choir show off what they have been working on to start this school year. On October 25th CHHS Choir soloists will present Sing-Out at the Palace Theatre. This event is a unique opportunity for choir students to showcase their solo singing! There will also be a chance to vote for your favorite solo at the end of the night.

TMEA All-State auditions will continue with round two (Region) on October 16th. If your student is participating in this audition please make sure that they have official copies of the music. Photocopies will not be accepted at the audition. We are so proud of the hard work that these students are putting in to prepare for next Saturday! There will be an All-State rehearsal after school on Wednesday, October 13th, for students who want extra help preparing the music.

Fall Concert

Our Fall Concert will be held on Monday, October 18th, at 7PM in the CHHS Auditorium. On the day of the concert students will stay after school for a dress rehearsal starting at 4:10PM. Following the dress rehearsal students will be fed dinner and then will have time to get ready for the concert. We would like to thank the booster club for graciously agreeing to feed all of our students!

Students will need to bring all concert dress materials to school the day of the concert. These materials can be stored securely in the small choir room if your student would like to drop them off in the morning. Please try on choir uniforms at home before the day of the concert to ensure that everything fits properly.

*This concert is a required event for students enrolled in all CHHS choirs. Please refer to the choir handbook for more information
